Who we are

SponsorJobUK (sponsorjobuk.com) is a UK job information service for people who need visa sponsorship and are already in the UK. It is a trading name of Jagat IT UK Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17474995. Registered office: 164 High Street, London Colney, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL2 1QF. That company is the data controller for the information described here. For anything in this policy, write to support@sponsorjobuk.com. A real person reads it.

What we collect, and why

• Your email address, when you pay or ask for a sign in link. We need it to give you access, send the sponsor job alerts you paid for, send your payment receipt, and let you sign in. This is performance of a contract under UK GDPR.
• Payment details. These go directly to Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us only that a payment happened, for which plan, and the amount.
• Google sign in. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your email address to us. We ask for the email only, no contacts, no profile data, and we cannot post or read anything on your Google account.
• A password, only if you set one. Accounts were added on 7 October 2026 for the app. A password is never needed to pay, to read the jobs or to get your alerts. If you do set one it is stored only as a hash, which cannot be turned back into the password, and we never see or send the password itself.
• Support messages. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and remember what we promised you.
• Technical logs. Our servers keep short lived logs with IP addresses to stop abuse, such as bulk scraping and form spam. This is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working. Logs are not used to profile you.
• Our own counting, and nothing else. We count which pages are opened and which buttons are pressed, and that is all we store: the name of the thing, the page it happened on, and the domain name of the website that sent you here, such as google.com or facebook.com. Not the full address you came from, not the search you typed, not the query on it. No IP address, no name, no email, nothing that points back to you. We keep this because otherwise we cannot tell whether anything we do is working. We use no third party analytics and no advertising trackers, so there is nothing here to consent to.

Cookies

• sjuk_member, set only after you pay or sign in. It is a signed token naming your email, so the site can show you what your plan unlocks. It contains no password and cannot be forged. It lasts up to 400 days; signing out removes it.
• sjuk_oauth, a ten minute helper cookie used only during Google sign in, to stop forged sign in attempts. It removes itself.
• No tracking or advertising cookies at all. The two above are the only cookies this site sets, and both exist to run your account.

The browser extension

Our Chrome extension, UK Visa Sponsorship and Salary Checker, has no account, no sign in and no cookie. Using it needs an access key, bought once for 99p on this site. The payment is taken by Stripe, as described above, and the key is shown to you and emailed to the address you paid with. We keep the key only as a hash, which cannot be turned back into the key, next to that address and the Stripe payment it came from.

The extension stores one thing on your computer: that key, in Chrome’s own storage for the extension, so you do not have to paste it every time. It is not synced to your Google account. When you paste the key, and now and then after that, the extension sends the key on its own to our API, which answers only whether it is valid. Nothing else goes with it.

It does nothing at all until you click its icon or press its keyboard shortcut. When you do, it reads four things off the job advert you have open: the employer name, the job title, the pay as the advert states it, and the town. It sends those four, and nothing else, to our API so the register can be searched and the pay can be checked against the visa rules. All four are public parts of the advert, put there by the employer. When the advert does not publish one of them, it is not sent.

You can also select a company name on any page, right click it and choose Check this employer. Then only the text you selected is sent, and the page itself is not read at all.

It never sends the page, the web address or your browsing history, and neither request carries a cookie or an account. The check of an employer does not carry your key, so it cannot be tied to you. We keep no record of which keys were checked or when.

We keep no copy of what you searched for. The only record of the request is the same short lived technical log described above, which exists to stop abuse. The extension itself contains no analytics and no advertising code of any kind.

If you remove the extension, Chrome deletes the stored key with it. The key still works if you add the extension again, and the copy in your email is how you get it back.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We never share your email with employers, agents, or advertisers.
• We do not run marketing lists. The only emails we send are the alerts and receipts your plan pays for, sign in links you ask for, and replies to your questions.

Who processes data for us

Like almost every website, we use a small number of service providers, each bound by its own data processing terms: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending our emails), Google (only if you choose Google sign in), and Hostinger, who host the server that runs the site and holds the database. They process data only on our instructions. Some providers process data outside the UK under standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

Your account record stays while your access is open, or until you delete it yourself on the delete my account page. Payment records are kept as long as UK tax law requires (normally six years). Everything else goes when it stops being needed. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete everything we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@sponsorjobuk.com and we will act within one month. Every alert email also carries a one click unsubscribe link. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), the UK data regulator.

Not for children

This service is for adults looking for work. It is not aimed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly weaken it.
