Who we are
SponsorJobUK (sponsorjobuk.com) is a UK job information service for people who need visa sponsorship and are already in the UK. For anything in this policy, write to support@sponsorjobuk.com. A real person reads it.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, when you buy a plan or ask for a sign-in link. We need it to run your subscription, send the sponsor job alerts you paid for, send your payment receipt, and let you sign in. This is performance of a contract under UK GDPR.
- Payment details. These go directly to Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us only that a payment happened, for which plan, and the amount.
- Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your email address to us. We ask for the email only - no contacts, no profile data, and we cannot post or read anything on your Google account.
- Support messages. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and remember what we promised you.
- Technical logs. Our servers keep short-lived logs with IP addresses to stop abuse, such as bulk scraping and form spam. This is our legitimate interest in keeping the site working. Logs are not used to profile you.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used, in aggregate. We do not feed it your email or your subscription status.
Cookies
- sjuk_member - set only after you pay or sign in. It is a signed token naming your email, so the site can show you what your plan unlocks. It contains no password and cannot be forged. It lasts up to 400 days; signing out removes it.
- sjuk_oauth - a ten-minute helper cookie used only during Google sign-in, to stop forged sign-in attempts. It removes itself.
- Google Analytics cookies - standard visit measurement, set by Google.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We never share your email with employers, agents, or advertisers.
- We do not run marketing lists. The only emails we send are the alerts and receipts your plan pays for, sign-in links you ask for, and replies to your questions.
Who processes data for us
Like almost every website, we use a small number of service providers, each bound by its own data processing terms: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending our emails), Neon (database hosting), Google (analytics, and sign-in if you choose it), and our server host. They process data only on our instructions. Some providers process data outside the UK under standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
Your subscription record stays while your plan is active. Payment records are kept as long as UK tax law requires (normally six years). Everything else goes when it stops being needed. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete everything we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@sponsorjobuk.com and we will act within one month. Every alert email also carries a one-click unsubscribe link. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), the UK data regulator.
Not for children
This service is for adults looking for work. It is not aimed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly weaken it.
