Who joined the sponsor register, and who left it

The Home Office publishes the register of licensed sponsors as one file and replaces it every working day. The old file is gone. We download it every morning and keep every copy, so we can put any two days side by side and say exactly who is on one and not the other. Every company that left is named, and every report is free to download.

The reports

A month appears here on the first day after it ends, and only when our copies cover every day of it. There is no page for August 2026 because we started keeping copies on the 26th, and five days wearing a month’s title would be a lie by headline.

What a removal means, and what it does not

A company leaving this register has not been punished, and these pages never say it has. A licence can be handed back, allowed to run out, surrendered in a merger, lost when a company changes its registered name, or taken away. The public list does not say which. It says only that the company is no longer on it.

What it does mean is simple. A company that is not on the register cannot issue a certificate of sponsorship, so no job in its name can lead to a work visa while it is off the list. Nobody may charge you for a certificate of sponsorship, and selling one is a crime in the UK.

Why this is worth keeping

Everybody can read today’s register. Almost nobody keeps yesterday’s. The whole value of these pages is that we kept every morning since 26 August 2026, so a question like how many care companies came off the register last month has an answer that can be checked rather than guessed.

Each report says which files it compared, on which mornings, and how far we think the count can be trusted. If one of our numbers disagrees with yours, the file is there to settle it.
