Care, support and nursing jobs at licensed sponsors tonight, and what they pay

We searched our own job list tonight, 9 October 2026. There are 372 live jobs on it, and every one is at a company that is on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors. The edition behind tonight's list was published on 8 October 2026 and names 127,385 licensed sponsors.

Care is the work most of our readers do, so we searched for it first. Here is what came back.

  • Care, 48 jobs.
  • Support worker, 48 jobs.
  • Nurse, 33 jobs.
  • Healthcare assistant, 15 jobs.

What they pay

Of the 48 jobs that come up for care, 33 put £25,000 a year or more on the advert. 9 say £30,000 or more, and 4 say £40,000 or more.

Some of tonight's adverts, as they are written. A healthcare assistant in Guildford, £25,760 a year. A support worker in Exeter, £25,760 to £27,467 a year. A senior audiologist in Basingstoke, £39,959 to £48,117 a year.

For many health and care roles the visa pay rule is not the usual one. GOV.UK says some healthcare jobs are measured against national pay scales, set by NHS pay band and by area of the UK. Ask the employer which pay band the role is in. If they are not sure, that is worth knowing too.

One check for care workers in England

GOV.UK says that if you are a care worker, code 6135, or a senior care worker, code 6136, working in England, your employer must be registered with the Care Quality Commission.

So for a care job in England there are two checks, not one. Is the company on the register of licensed sponsors. And is it registered with the Care Quality Commission. Both are free to check, and both take a minute. Our licence check does the first. The Care Quality Commission website does the second.

Questions to ask early

What is the annual salary for this role. Which pay band or job code is it. Does the company sponsor a Skilled Worker visa for this role. A serious employer will answer all three, usually in the first call.

Free to look

Searching the list is free, with no account and no password. Type care, support worker or nurse into the search and the jobs are there tonight. When one fits, apply direct to the employer, on the employer's own website.

We are a job alert service, not immigration advisers, and this is not legal advice. For your own case speak to a regulated adviser or a support organisation.
