We searched our own job list in the first hour of 16 October 2026. There are 345 live jobs on it, and every one is at a company that is on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors. 188 of them are in health and care. The register edition behind the list was published on 14 October 2026 and names 127,440 licensed sponsors.
We have already looked at care workers and at nurses. Tonight we looked at the other clinical jobs, the ones people often forget to search for. Six searches, physiotherapist, audiologist, sonographer, occupational therapist, speech and language, and dietitian, bring back 16 jobs between them.
The same pay range keeps coming back. The senior physiotherapists, the senior audiologists and the senior dietitian are all advertised at £39,959 to £48,117 a year. NHS Employers lists that as Band 6 for 2026/27.
The senior sonographer in Harlow is advertised at £57,528 to £64,750 a year, which NHS Employers lists as Band 8a. The other sonographer post gives an hourly rate, £28.48 to £32.38 an hour depending on experience. Several of the other adverts give no pay figure we can read.
GOV.UK keeps a list of healthcare and education jobs that have their own salary rule. All six of tonight's job types are on it, each with its own 4 digit occupation code.
For jobs on that list, GOV.UK says your salary must be at least £25,000, or more if the going rate for your job is higher. The going rate comes from national pay scales, and GOV.UK says it applies whether you work in the public or the private sector.
So the question is not only how much the advert pays. It is which code and which pay band the employer will use. GOV.UK itself says to ask your employer if you are not sure.
Many of these professions are regulated in the UK by the Health and Care Professions Council. It has its own section for people who trained and worked outside the UK and have not been registered with it before. Ask the employer early whether the role needs registration, and read that page before you apply.
Searching the list is free, with no account and no password. Type physiotherapist, audiologist or sonographer into the search and the jobs are there tonight. When one fits, apply direct to the employer, on the employer's own website.
We are a job alert service, not immigration advisers, and this is not legal advice. For your own case speak to a regulated adviser or a support organisation.
