We counted our own job list tonight, 7 October 2026. There are 392 live jobs on it, every one at a company that was on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors this morning. 15 of them appeared today, and 185 in the last seven days.
185 of 392 is almost half. The list you are reading tonight is not the list that was here last week, and it will not be the list next week.
Most people read a job board the way they read a noticeboard. You look once, apply to a few, and feel you have seen what there is. A sponsor list does not sit still like that.
Nearly half of tonight's jobs were not here seven days ago. So if you looked a week ago and nothing fitted, most of what is on the page now is new to you, and there is a good reason to look again. The same will be true next week.
That is the plain case for coming back often. The jobs you want may simply not have been posted yet the day you last checked.
We download the Home Office register the morning it is published and match every advert against it. The edition behind tonight's list was published on 6 October 2026 and names 127,362 licensed sponsors.
So the 392 is not a number we stored once and left on the page. It is counted from the database the moment you open it, and only companies on the current register stay on the list.
Of the 392, the ones that put a figure on the advert sit like this. 127 say £25,000 a year or more, 90 say £30,000 or more, and 60 say £40,000 or more. The rest put no number on the advert, which is normal and is not a warning.
Pay still matters more than anything else on a sponsored job, because the visa turns on it. GOV.UK sets the general Skilled Worker minimum at the higher of £41,700 a year and the going rate for the work, and health, care and education roles are measured against their own pay scales instead.
So ask early, in your first message or on the phone. What is the annual salary for this role, and does the company sponsor a Skilled Worker visa for it. A serious employer answers both.
Looking is free. There is no account to make and no password to search. You apply direct to the employer, on the employer's own website, and your application goes straight to the company.
If keeping up with a list that changes every week is the hard part, that is the one thing we charge for. Twenty pounds, once, and you are told when a new advert matches what you are looking for, with the employer's name and the apply link. Everything you need to search the list and to check a company yourself stays free.
We are a job alert service, not immigration advisers, and this is not legal advice. For your own case speak to a regulated adviser or a support organisation.
